For some time I have been unsure whether or not I should continue to post fiction and non-fiction reports side-by-side on this site or whether I should keep fiction on this site and move all my reporting, analysis and research to another.
I’ve opted for the latter. Thus, our focus here isn’t changing; all fiction, aesthetics and similar works will continue to be published here, as per usual (we’re still accepting submissions for fiction of any length), however, all research and reports on socio-political issues will be published on Logos Logistics, a site currently being constructed.
Our first research project will be a exposing piece concerning the draconian US-based “non-profit” group, The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). Very few books have been written on the SPLC, even fewer which are at-all critical. Lest you be confused as to their true aims, read the following statement of purpose from the horse’s own mouth – this particular horse is high-ranking SPLC operative, Mark Potok in a 2008 recording taken by a visitor at SPLC headquarters. Potok states:
“We see this political struggle, right? And it’s very different from what Teaching Tolerance does, right? I mean, we’re not trying to change anybody’s mind. We’re trying to wreck the groups, and we are very clear in our head… we are trying to destroy them. Not to send them to prison unfairly or not take their free speech rights away… but as a political matter, to destroy them.”
Slightly later on, following Potok’s imperative, they attempted to “destroy” Maajid Nawaz’s anti-extremism outreach organization, The Quilliam Foundation. Here is an excerpt from our up-coming dossier on the affair.
2016, the SPLC issued a journalists guide to “anti-muslim extremists” (since deleted) which named Maajid Nawaz and his Quilliam Foundation, a anti-extremism think tank, as one of the eponymous “anti-muslims.” Not only was Quilliam anti-extremism, Nawaz himself was also a practicing muslim. In 2018, Richard Cohen agreed to pay Quilliam $3.357 million after Nawaz threatened legal action for the seemingly unprovoked and nonsensical slight.
Two years later they decided that they hadn’t done enough to crater their reputation and decided to vigorously defend the brutal gang MS-13, declaring that everyone who criticized MS (a group which rapes and vivisects American citizens, often for no other reason than to increase respect within their cadre) was “a racist.” Apparently, not wanting your children hacked and splattered all over an alleyway is the new and pressing bigotry of the century. I guess MS’ critics are just too machetephobic to understand…
None of this would matter if the SPLC were nobodies but they are one of the most powerful and well-esteemed “non-profits” in the USA. So much so that the FBI used to use them as a primary source for their case work. Other groups who utilize the demagogic papers of the SPLC include Homeland Security (DHS), numerous Fusion Centers and even the US military. Such a list could go on and on at length.
Given the threat the SPLC presents, not just to free speech (and thus artistic freedom) as-such, but to the reputations and businesses of the American citizenry, we intend to remedy this situation.
Stay tuned and thank you for reading.
